All the indoor's stuff was shot on my FlipMino (not HD) and the outside bit at the end is actually the W270 (HD) :) sorry also for my hobo like appearance i have been writing essays for about 4 days straight now.

Sony W290 HD Movie Testing

Sony W290 HD Movie Testing Video Clips. Duration : 3.27 Mins.

This is a shooting test in HD 720P quality of Sony cybershot W290 at highest quality setting. The idea here is testing the quality of the colors, the speed of autofocus reponsiveness, and how low light of this camera can get. One important thing: This camera can't use the zoom while shooting movies. Zoom can be adjusted before shooting movies and photo. What I love: 28mm wide angle zoom (really needed) HD 720P at 30 fps (great quality movie) Carl Zeiss lens quality (high quality picture) Sony Colors Quality (very fresh and natural tones) Low light in movie capable (very big help for low light situation with low noise picture) What I dont like: No manual mode (big crying). It is very extreme difficult to get a good shot at a club, party or moving subjects or high speed photography since the camera always go down to the speed of 1/30 when it need more light. There is no Party or Club Scence mode in this camera. Sony should include another scence mode for high speed photography. With manual mode, I just increase the shutter to 1/125 or more and the flash fires a litle bit harder or increase the ISO higher that is simple and the pictures taking in club come out razor sharp not blurry when people are dancing. With this camera, even I increase ISO up to 800, the shutter is still sticking with the shutter at 1/30 when ever it needs more light. That is really suck. My iPod is stuffed with all her releases and I got them through her website, all high bitrate quality and a rockin you will be! It was a wonderful show in a small seated theater which made the show personable and fun. The Jane Austen Argument was lovely, be sure to support them and buy "The Birthing Pyre", songs from this release were played live here. Video captured by a novice fan using his Sony Cybershot DSC-WX9 pocket camera in 1080p 60fps on a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32Gb SDHC 45MB/s memory card. The results were so/so due to the distance and the guy with a huge afro in front of me, luckily others also uploaded video of this event. I was the one & only sockmonkey in attendance although notably i saw Edward Scissorhands cutting the rug "literally." There were squares of carpet missing throughout the theatre. Comments welcome! My next concert The Damned! With live footage to follow...

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W290 seemed too good to be true when it was announced in February 2009. For less than 0 you get a wide-angle lens with a 5x zoom, 12-megapixel resolution, some of Sony's advanced automatic shooting options, HD video capture, and a 3-inch LCD all packed into a nice-looking body roughly the size of a deck of cards. Sounds pretty great, right? There had to be something wrong. Well, as with most point-and-shoot cameras of its caliber, the photo quality from the W290 could be a little better and the performance a touch faster. In the end, though, neither was disappointing from this camera (better than expected actually), and if you take into account its attractive price tag, the W290 is tough to beat. Available in silver, black, blue, and bronze, the W290 doesn't stray from Sony's typical W-series Cyber-shot appearances. It's an attractive camera in a pocketable body, but with some weight to it, so you likely won't forget it's on you. The silver model we tested noticeably retains fingerprints all over the body, something to keep in mind if that sort of thing bugs you. Actually, if there's one minor nitpick with the body design it's that the W290's front has concentric ridges adding a slight texture that improves grip, but unfortunately also traps grease and dirt so your fingerprints are embedded as soon as you touch the camera and they aren't easily wiped off. A lock on the all-too-easily-opened battery/Memory Stick compartment would be nice, too, so ...
